Children's hot water bottles - Once upon a time there was a little sheep who was always teased by all the sheep in his flock because he was so small and because he could never jump as fast as all his friends with his short legs. This made him very sad and so he often went out alone.
One day the sheep observed the brown tabby cat, who was pacing restlessly and seemed to be missing one of her children. She had recently given birth to kittens and had been trying ever since to tame her offspring and keep them together.
Suddenly the sheep heard a pitiful meow coming from a bush at the edge of the pasture. It ran over as fast as it could and discovered the frightened little kitten in a hole in the ground from which it could not free itself. The little sheep carefully climbed down a little and gently took the kitten between its teeth. Then it carefully pushed itself backwards out of the hole and the bushes and quickly ran back to the mother cat, who was incredibly happy to see her little one unharmed. The other sheep saw the rescue and were suddenly very proud of their friend. They had learned that even small animals can accomplish great things and never teased the little sheep again.
